The calendar we use has 7 days a week because it is what lasts each phase of the moon. Something useful and established from pre-Roman times, but today more than anything we want it because it sets the cycle of work, study, relax, leisure, etc. 5 working days and 2 off, in most cases.
The names of each day correspond to the celestial bodies visible at the time, are simply numbers or religious holidays. I guess very few people are influenced by one day being called one way or another, but what if it would do? How would you call the Monday? What about the Saturday? Can you assign an activity to Tuesday to call it, for example, reflection-day?
It may seems silly, but I suppose that many people associate a Saturday or Friday to leisure or other activities outside the routine and is looking forward to it, however I do not know if you have ever considered it a special day, but why could not it be a Wednesday? Why not doing something special every day and reflect on their name, like, for example, the Jews do with the Sabbath?
